Beauty and Truth

I began a discussion on Intersection regarding the nature of Beauty and Truth, particularly in their relationship to one another. It relates to all forms of art, including story (novels, film, and plays), visual art, performing art, music, and everything else in between. It's an issue that I've been tossing around in my mind, and I'd love to get your feedback to it. Go here to join the debate.

I'm still thinking about this. I read it when you first linked it on Twitter. I just didn't know what to say. Still don't.

I know. It's something that's been turning in my mind for a while. I'll keep thinking about it.

Truth is beauty. Anyone who tries to tell you differently is selling something.

Seriously, that's how I think about it. They're different sides of the same coin, except they're closer than that. Actually, I sort of think of them like the Trinity (except there's only two) in that they are the same and yet different.

Why do I have the feeling I only confused things?

Also, I tried to email you about the larger story of Dave and I, but I keep getting bounce-backs that say your address doesn't exist. Sad.

Also-also? Your captcha hates me.

Sorry about the captcha. I don't hate you, though ;)

Also, the question takes off from that point of beauty being truth and asks more about that.

Don't know what the deal with my email is. I'll try emailing you (I think I have it).
